ecslogoActing on Faith, Rebuilding Lives

The annual Episcopal Community Service Campaign will begin on Sunday, February 21 and continue through April 11, 2010.

In light of the current economy, the 14 agencies supported by ECS are experiencing a greater demand for their services.

In his campaign letter to the diocese, Bishop J. Michael Garrison wrote, "This year's annual campaign focuses on the extreme tragedy people are facing, and the massive assistance required of ECS to adequately assist our communities. Think what it would take to rebuild your life, reignite your faith, and bring back your peace of mind."

All members of the diocese are encouraged to be as generous as possible when responding to this year's ECS campaign.

ECS Prayer

O God, the source of all love and compassion, we praise you for the opportunities we have been given to minister in your name. Pour your blessing on all who work on our behalf through the ministries of Episcopal Community Services. Use them to bring comfort, assistance, and renewed experience of the Father's love to all whom they seek to serve. Open our Hearts to respond to the needs of those around us. To you we offer our gifts and prayers, through Him who came among us as God's love incarnate, Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

ECS Special Grants

Episcopal Community Services designates 10% of its annual pledge income for grants to support parish and/or deanery community outreach projects. The guiding principle for this initiative is Matthew 25:35-36. These one-time grants may be used to support both ongoing outreach projects and the start-up of new projects. There is no minimum size of a grant. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year.
