Church Acts Mission

To enhance the mission and ministry of the Diocese of Western New York through speaking the truth in Christ’s name and telling the stories of the diocese, its churches and its people in ways that inform, educate and inspire.

The paper is published monthly, September through June. Each issue is packed with news, theological reflections and human interest features. The editor is Laurie Wozniak. It arrives free of charge in every diocesan household wrapped around Episcopal Life.

Deadline

The deadline for each issue is the 5^th day of the month preceding publication.

Article Submissions

Submissions of articles about the work of diocesan ministries and congregations for publication consideration are welcomed. Transmission problems are most easily avoided by sending the text of an article as an e-mail message, rather than as an attachment. Include the author’s name and congregation, as well as a daytime phone at which he or she can be reached.

Photo Submissions

Candid shots in full color that illustrate mission or ministry are preferred.
JPG files may be e-mailed as attachments to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Do not size, crop or otherwise manipulate the photo. Simply send the JPG (JPEG) file as it comes from the camera.

For each photo submitted, include the following information: Who, what, when where and why. Also include your name and daytime phone number.

Standard photographic prints may be mailed to: Church Acts. Please label the back of each photo with your name, address and daytime phone number and a photo ID number. On a separate sheet fo paper, list each photo you submit and include the following information: Who, what, when, where and why.

Subscription Information

Church Acts is mailed to every diocesan household free of charge. If you belong to a diocesan congregation, but do not receive the paper, contact your church office.

Anyone wishing to receive Church Acts who is not a member of the Diocese of WNY, may subscribe by sending a check for $19 payable to Episcopal Diocese of WNY/Church Acts, 1114 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14209. (Foreign surface mail add $10 per year.)

Church Acts Address Changes, Additions & Deletions

Address changes, corrections and deletions are processed by the mailing house at the direction of the parish office.

Parishes: You must provide the following information when notifying the mailing house of additions, deletions or changes:

• Church Name
• Church UEID number

• Subscriber's Name
  (as it appears on label if already a subscriber)
• Mailing Address
  (if submitting a change of address give old address and new address)
• City, State and Zip Code

Mailing list changes may be emailed, mailed or phoned in.
