Members of my parish (St. Andrew's, Burt) asked me to pass along my thoughts on why I am part of Diocesan Coouncil and why it is important to me.

Diocesan Council exercises all of the powers of the Diocesan Convention between annual Conventions, meeting monthly on the second Thursday of the month, September through June at 5:30 p.m. at the diocesan office. Council consists of:

• The bishop
• One clergy representative from each deanery
• One lay representative form each deanery
• One youth representative

Members of the diocese may contact the Diocesan Council representatives from their deanery to express an opinion or raise a concern using the email links below:
