When Bishop J. Michael Garrison departs for the fall House of Bishops meeting, he will take with him WNY Episcopalians’ perspectives on how our church should respond to the Primates’ Communique issued earlier this year. Throughout the summer Episcopal congregations used Communion Matters to help them discuss issues and concerns that inbclude biblical interpretation and authority, as well as homosexuality in the church.

The House of Bishops’ will weigh the people’s thoughts as they seek to respond to the communique. The deadline for their response is September 30. Upon returning to WNY, Bishop Garrison will meet with diocesan clergy to offer a firsthand report on this House of Bishops meeting.
